Summer is the peak season for the use of diesel generator sets, and the indoor and outdoor temperatures are relatively high in summer. If the external temperature is too high, the temperature of the genset will rise, making it difficult to dissipate heat. Poor heat dissipation is very harmful to diesel generator sets. So how to prevent it?
1. Correctly use the closed cooling system. The cooling system should use high-quality coolant with corrosion resistance, anti-boiling, anti-freezing and anti-scaling properties, and must be sealed during use to achieve a good cooling effect.
2. Keep the cooling system clean inside and outside. This is one of the important conditions for improving heat dissipation efficiency. When the outside of the radiator is stained with mud, oil or the heat sink is deformed due to collision. And when scale, mud or oil accumulates in the cooling water tank of the genset, the heat dissipation effect will be affected.
3. Keep the coolant sufficient. When the engine is cold, the coolant level should be between the highest and lowest marks of the expansion tank. If the liquid level is lower than the lowest mark of the expansion tank, it should be added in time. Note: The coolant in the expansion tank cannot be filled, and there should be room for expansion.
4. Keep the fan tape tension moderate. If the fan tape is too loose, the water pump speed will be too low, which will affect the circulation of the coolant and accelerate the wear of the tape. But if the tape is too tight, it will cause the water pump bearing to wear. In addition, the tape must not be stained with oil. Therefore, the tension of the fan tape should be checked and adjusted regularly.
5. Avoid overloading the genset. Overloading the genset can easily lead to rapid aging of internal components. When the genset exceeds its tolerance, it will cause the components to deform due to heat.
